Descrizione:1,3-α-D-mannopyranosyl trichloroacetimidate (1,3-α-DMTCA) is a fluorinated monosaccharide that is used as a building block for the synthesis of oligosaccharides and polysaccharides. The synthesis of 1,3-α-DMTCA involves the reaction of α,β-unsaturated chloral hydrate with mannose in aqueous solution. This produces an intermediate product that undergoes glycosylation with glycosylation reagents like glycosyl chloride to yield 1,3-α-DMTCA.
