Informazioni sul prodotto
Tenacigenoside A is a saponin that has been shown to have cytotoxic and antimicrobial properties. Tenacigenoside A is produced by the fungus, Tenacia tenax, which is found in Chinese herbal medicines. Tenacigenoside A has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and reduce their viability by inducing apoptosis in these cells. This compound also inhibits drug transporters such as P-glycoprotein and MRP2, which may be a way to prevent resistance from developing against other drugs.
Tenacigenoside A inhibits the activity of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) by acting as an inhibitor of DNA polymerase or binding to the template DNA strand. It also inhibits protein synthesis by inhibiting ribosome activity. The product research revealed that this compound is found in some plants like Acanthopanax senticosus (Siberian ginseng) and Panax quinquefolius
