Descrizione:Difenoxurone is an herbicide that inhibits the synthesis of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter. It has been shown to inhibit GABA synthetase, a key enzyme in the synthesis of GABA. Difenoxurone has been shown to be genotoxic and capable of inducing DNA damage. The thermal expansion and matrix effects of difenoxurone are also important for its use as a polymer matrix for sample preparation. This compound exhibits synergistic activity with other herbicides in the inhibition of plant growth. Difenoxurone also has phospholipid membrane-disrupting properties that may be related to its genotoxic activity.
