Descrizione

Plaunotol is a drug that belongs to the group of antimicrobial agents and is used in the treatment of chronic oral or bowel disease. It has been shown to decrease bacterial translocation, which may be due to its ability to bind with bacterial DNA, preventing transcription and replication. Plaunotol has been shown to have anticancer properties in humans, but it also can cause cell lysis and polymerase chain reaction inhibition.
