Descrizione:Thymopentin acetate is a l-amino acid, inorganic salt that is also known as stepwise hormone. It has been shown to be an analog of the acidic epidermal growth factor (EGF) and is used in the treatment of psoriasis and other skin conditions. Thymopentin acetate stimulates epidermal cell growth by binding to receptors on the surface of cells. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used to treat parathyroid disease. Thymopentin acetate binds to bone hydroxyapatite, which may account for its ability to stimulate bone formation.
