H2L5186303 binds to the exogenous cannabinoid receptor, CB2, and inhibits the production of poly-adp-ribose polymerase (PARP) in cancer cells. PARP is involved in cellular processes such as DNA repair and cell death. H2L5186303 also inhibits the activity of growth factor receptors, which are involved in cell proliferation and differentiation. Research has shown that H2L5186303 can inhibit apoptosis, or programmed cell death, by binding to the cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2). This compound has been shown to have anticancer effects on mouse hippocampal cells and fibrosarcoma cells.
