• Descrizione: Licochalcone E is a natural compound with antiangiogenic properties. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of vascular endothelial cells, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis. Licochalcone E is also cytotoxic against squamous carcinoma cells and other cell lines in vitro, and has significant cytotoxicity against human leukemia cells. Licochalcone E inhibits protein synthesis by binding to an unknown protein target and inhibiting the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). This compound also inhibits glycosylation of proteins, leading to an increase in hemolytic activity. Licochalcone E may have anti-inflammatory activities due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
