Descrizione:Pirinixil is a synthetic compound that acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. It is used to treat depression and other conditions associated with low acetylcholine levels in the brain, such as Alzheimer's disease. Pirinixil is a structural analogue of Acetyl-L-carnitine and has been shown to be efficacious in reducing depressive symptoms in patients with major depressive disorder or bipolar depression. Pirinixil also prevents the development of bowel disease by inhibiting the inflammatory response. This drug binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors within the intestines and inhibits cholesterol estersase activity, which may lead to decreased production of cholesterol esters in the gut.
