Descrizione:1,3,5-Cyclohexanetricarboxylic acid is a supramolecular molecule with an imine nitrogen and chloride. It has been analyzed by X-ray crystallography and was found to have the structure of a monoclinic crystal. The deionized water molecules form hydrogen bonds with the carboxylate group on the molecule. The hydrogen bonds are intermolecular and are formed between two different molecules of water. 1,3,5-Cyclohexanetricarboxylic acid is also able to form hydrogen bonds with other molecules that contain a nitrogen atom, such as ammonia or amines. Molecular modeling software was used to show how a cavity is created in the center of the molecule from which it can bind to other molecules.
