Descrizione:3-Chloromethyl-5-nitrosalicylaldehyde is a monomer that belongs to the group of nitrosalicylic acid esters. It has been shown to be a good precursor for preparing polymers with metal cations. The polymer film was prepared by UV irradiation and ring-opening reactions, which yielded a homogeneous polymer film. 3-Chloromethyl-5-nitrosalicylaldehyde is soluble in nonpolar solvents, which makes it easy to prepare for use in surface treatments. The fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) technique was used to measure the efficiency of the method and found that the reaction rate was more than 98%. This product is not toxic because it does not contain any heavy metals such as alkali metal ions. The sample preparation process is efficient and can be carried out under mild conditions.
