Descrizione

Carbofuran-3-keto is an insecticide that belongs to the group of carbamates. It was first synthesized in 1963 and has been used as a broad spectrum insecticide. Carbofuran-3-keto is an organic compound with a molecular weight of 245.2 daltons and a chemical formula of CHC(O)OCHCOONa. It can be prepared by reacting sodium carbonate with carbofuran, followed by hydrolysis with trifluoroacetic acid. The analytical method for this compound uses chromatography and hydroxyl ions as the mobile phase, and it is detected using an ultraviolet detector at 230 nm. The formation rate for this compound in plasma is approximately 0.5 ng/mL/min and the concentration-time curve can be determined from urine samples after sample preparation by liquid-liquid extraction.
