Descrizione:AMG 333 is a synthetic, non-selective acetylcholinesterase inhibitor that has been shown to be safe and effective in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It selectively blocks the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which is responsible for breaking down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. This inhibition allows more acetylcholine to remain active in synapses, resulting in better memory and cognitive function. AMG 333 is highly selective for cholinergic neurons, with minimal activity on other populations such as erythrocytes or skeletal muscle cells. AMG 333 has a pharmacokinetic profile with a half-life of approximately 3 hours and a distribution volume of 0.15 L/kg.
