Rac-4,5-dehydro pregabalin is an experimental drug that has been shown to have analgesic properties in animal models. Rac-4,5-dehydro pregabalin is soluble in methanol and ethanol and can be isolated by preparative high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It can also be used as a marker to monitor the progress of purification.
