Descrizione:n-Octylmagnesium bromide (NMBr) is a light emitting molecule used in the synthesis of polymers. NMBr reacts with fatty esters to form light emitting polymers that are chemically stable, scalable, and can be made from renewable resources. NMBr is also a good candidate for uses in chemical biology as it has been shown to inhibit matrix metalloproteinase activity by covalently binding to the enzyme's active site. This inhibition prevents the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins and thus promotes tissue healing.
