D0128 is a polymerase chain inhibitor that binds to the active site of DNA polymerases. It prevents the synthesis of DNA, RNA and proteins, which leads to cell death. D0128 has been shown to inhibit the activity of light-emitting enzymes in skin cells and cancer cells. It has also been shown to reduce or prevent hyperparathyroidism in mouse models by interfering with calcium levels. D0128 may be used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders.
