Descrizione:Lorediplon is a novel sedative with a profile that is characterized by a rapid onset and short duration of action. Lorediplon binds selectively to the α1 subunit of the L-type voltage-gated calcium channel (L-VGCC) and blocks calcium influx into cells. It has been shown to be safe in clinical studies involving healthy volunteers, as well as patients with insomnia or depression. Lorediplon has also been evaluated in clinical trials for use as a diagnostic agent for Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and dementia.
