Descrizione:AG 205 is a fatty acid that inhibits cancer cell proliferation by triggering autophagy. AG 205 also influences the oxygen transport system in cells and reduces sulfatide levels. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and induce apoptosis in cervical cancer cells in vitro. This compound has been shown to reduce the expression of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and its receptor, EGF-R, which may be due to inhibition of cyclase activity. AG 205 has also been shown to inhibit tumor growth and induce apoptosis in human endometrial cancer cells in vitro. Clinical studies have shown that AG 205 has an inhibitory effect on tumor growth in vivo as well, with no observable side effects.
