Descrizione:10-Chloro-3-decyne is a braconid, which is a type of synthetic insecticide. It is used to control the population of insects that damage plants and crops. 10-Chloro-3-decyne inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase in insects and leads to paralysis, death, or both. The mechanism of action has been shown to be unsymmetrical, which means that it binds more strongly to one side of the protein than the other. This leads to a change in conformation by binding at active site on the enzyme and preventing any further activity. 10-Chloro-3-decyne has also been shown to have carbonyl properties when mixed with acetonitrile and chromatographed. These carbonyl emissions can be used as an indicator for this compound in gas chromatography.
