Descrizione:Decylsuccinic anhydride is a liquid crystal that has a molecular weight of 437. It can be used as an additive to polyester resins and as a chemical intermediate in the production of hydrocarbons. Decylsuccinic anhydride is also used for the synthesis of fluoroalkyl compounds, which are used as additives, such as anti-ozonants in gasoline. Decylsuccinic anhydride is also used to make carboxylic acids and amides from alcohols and ammonia or primary amines. This chemical also reacts with alkali metals to form carbonates or chlorides, which are useful in the manufacture of detergents and other surfactants.
