Descrizione:Tridocosanoin is a matrix agent that has been shown to have antimicrobial properties. It has a basic structure and is able to form nanoparticles with biological properties. Tridocosanoin has significant cytotoxicity against human skin cells in vivo and can be used as a potential topical drug for the treatment of acne vulgaris. The biological properties of tridocosanoin are due to its ability to inhibit the activity of p-glycoprotein (P-gp), which is located on the cell membrane, by binding covalently or non-covalently to the glyceryl behenate moiety. This inhibition leads to a decrease in absorption of drugs from the intestine into systemic circulation and reduces their hepatic uptake. Tridocosanoin can also act as an inhibitor of multivariate logistic regression modeling system and solid lipid nanoparticles.
