Descrizione:Seltorexant is a drug that acts as a selective antagonist of the orexin receptor. It is being developed for the treatment of insomnia and depression. Seltorexant has been shown to be effective in treating sleep problems in depressed patients. The drug has an onset latency of about 1 hour and a half, with efficacy lasting for up to 15 hours. Side-effects include dry mouth, dizziness, nausea, and headache. Regulatory effect was seen on the HPA axis at doses of 10 mg or higher.
