Descrizione:Trans-2-Tridecen-1-ol is a fatty acid that belongs to the group of hexadecanoic acids. It has been shown to have anticancer activity in breast cancer cells, as well as activating properties. Trans-2-Tridecen-1-ol also has the ability to inhibit the growth of tumor cells by disrupting their lipid metabolism, leading to cell death. The anticancer mechanism of action is not fully understood but may be related to its ability to affect hormone receptors and/or protein targets. Trans-2-Tridecen-1-ol has been shown to be more effective than dibutyl against MDA-MB231 breast cancer cells with an EC50 value of 6.5μM.
