• Descrizione: The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a technique that amplifies specific DNA sequences. The process begins with the binding of primers to a target sequence in the DNA molecule. The primer sequences are chosen to be complementary to the desired sequence, and they can be either RNA or DNA. A mixture of deoxyribonucleotide triphosphates (dNTPs), a thermostable DNA polymerase, and buffer are added, and the mixture is heated to separate the two strands at their melting point.
