Descrizione:8-Hydroxy-2-(di-N-propylamino)tetralin is a 5-HT2 receptor agonist that has been shown to inhibit the release of prolactin in blood samples. It is also found to have a potent effect on locomotor activity in experimental models. 8OH-DPAT has been used as an analytical tool for measuring the efficacy of other drugs, such as antidepressants and antipsychotics, by demonstrating their ability to block the effects of this drug. This drug can be used as a pharmacological agent for studying the role of 5HT receptors in vivo, and can be used as an experimental model for studying the effects of drugs on prolactin secretion.
