Descrizione:Dimethyl phthalate-3,4,5,6-d4 is a metabolite of the plasticizer dimethyl phthalate. It can be detected in infant populations by liquid chromatography and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry techniques. Dimethyl phthalate-3,4,5,6-d4 is found in the solvents acetonitrile and dichloromethane at concentrations of 10 μg/L and 1 μg/L respectively. The metabolite has been used as a biomarker for population exposure to these substances. The metabolite is not detectable in urine samples of adults or children. Detection limits for this compound are 0.05 ng/mL for liquid chromatography and 0.1 ng/g for gas chromatography/mass spectrometry techniques.
