The drug also inhibits chemokine receptor activity, which has been shown to reduce the progression of arthritis. 3-Methylazetidine-1-sulfonamide has shown to inhibit arthropathy in animal models. This drug also binds to chemokine receptors and prevents chemokine binding, preventing chemotaxis and reducing inflammation and pain.
