Descrizione:Euphorbia factor L2 is a sesquiterpene lactone that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inducing autophagy, a process where cells degrade their own contents. This mechanism is activated through the induction of pro-apoptotic proteins and inhibition of anti-apoptotic proteins, leading to apoptosis. Euphorbia factor L2 also has pro-apoptotic effects on human leukemia cells and syncytial virus infection in mice. The drug is currently being investigated for its potential use in treating squamous cell carcinoma.
