Descrizione:PF-06751979 is a nonselective, aspartyl protease inhibitor that has been shown to penetrate the cerebral cortex and cause a decrease in the amount of neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) found in the brain. It also causes an increase in the amount of pigmented neurons in the cerebral cortex, which may be related to its ability to inhibit NFT production. PF-06751979 is being developed for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other diseases with neuropathological features, such as Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease.
