Informazioni sul prodotto
7-Hydroxy warfarin-d5 is an electron spin resonance (ESR) probe that can bind to the target enzyme, coagulation factor VIIa, and is used for monitoring its activity. It has a high expression level in resistant strains of the Colorado potato beetle and is used for pest control. 7-Hydroxy warfarin-d5 has been shown to be a kinetic measure of clotting times in humans. The epoxide group on 7-hydroxy warfarin-d5 makes it susceptible to metabolic reactions, which are necessary for the conversion of 7-hydroxy warfarin-d5 into the active form warfarin. Warfarin prevents blood from clotting by inhibiting vitamin K epoxide reductase, which is necessary for the production of vitamin K2 (vitamin K epoxide reductase).
