• Descrizione: Dim-C-pphtbu is a growth factor that has been shown to induce autophagy and inhibit cell proliferation. It was originally identified as a homologous protein to the human protein PHLDA2, which is involved in the regulation of angiogenesis. Dim-C-pphtbu was found to be expressed in cervical cancer cells and has been shown to inhibit the growth of these cells by inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. This compound also inhibits the production of pro-angiogenic factors such as VEGF. Dim-C-pphtbu has been shown to have antiangiogenic effects in animal models of breast cancer and prostate cancer. Dim-C-pphtbu may be a potential drug repositioning candidate for p21 inhibition.
