Descrizione:2-Pyridin-2-yl-4,5-dihydrooxazole is a ligand that has been shown to have potential in the treatment of viral infections such as Ebolavirus. The compound has also been shown to have antiviral activity against syncytial virus and multidimensional devices, which are used for modelling and optical sensor applications. This compound is chiral and can be used to make materials that are semiconducting. It has a ring structure with a mercapto group on one side and an oxazole group on the other. 2-Pyridin-2-yl-4,5-dihydrooxazole is photopolymerizable and can be made into an optical sensor by incorporating it into a polymer film. It can also be used as a lithography resist or in the preparation of DNA microarrays.
