Descrizione:(±)-Clopidogrel-(phenyl-13C6) is a potent, selective and competitive antagonist of the thromboxane A2 receptor. It is a pharmacological tool for studying protein interactions with the thromboxane A2 receptor. (±)-Clopidogrel-(phenyl-13C6) has been shown to inhibit ion channels and ligand-gated ion channels, as well as to block certain voltage-activated calcium channels. This agent also binds to antibodies that are specific for the thromboxane A2 receptor, making it useful in cell biology and antibody studies.
(±)-Clopidogrel-(phenyl-13C6) is an inhibitor of platelet aggregation, which may be due to its ability to bind with high affinity to the peptide sequence Glu-Leu-Arg on the platelet surface.
