It acts as a potent inhibitor of kinases, which are enzymes that play a key role in cell division and tumor growth. Sertindole-d4 induces apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells by disrupting the balance between pro- and anti-apoptotic proteins. This drug is an analog of dabigatran, a kinase inhibitor used to treat blood clots.
