Descrizione

Fenquizone is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation. Fenquizone is used to treat various types of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used to treat infectious diseases such as malaria, typhoid fever, and paratyphoid fever. Additionally, it has been shown to be effective in treating cancer and autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus. Fenquizone is a prodrug that is converted by hepatic esterases into its active form fenclofenac. This active form inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX), thereby preventing the production of prostaglandins.
