Descrizione:Isochroman-4-one is a chemical compound that contains a pyridine ring. It has been found to have antihypertensive activity in vivo and in vitro. The mechanism of action is not known, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R) signaling. Isochroman-4-one also shows significant affinity for the hepg2 cell line and an endophytic fungus that produces quinoline derivatives. This molecule is enantioselective, which means it can be differentiated from other compounds with the same molecular formula by its different spatial arrangement of atoms within the molecule. The two enantiomers are called R and S. The isochroman-4-one structure has been modeled using computational chemistry methods, including quantum calculations and molecular dynamics simulations.
