Descrizione

Deramciclane is a drug that is used as a sedative and anxiolytic. It binds to the GABA receptor and inhibits the binding of GABA to its receptors, thereby increasing the levels of this neurotransmitter in the brain. Deramciclane has been shown to have low bioavailability, which may be due to its low solubility in water. The drug is metabolized by liver cells and excreted via urine. Deramciclane is also rapidly metabolized by CYP3A4, an enzyme found in many tissues including the liver, kidney, small intestine, and lung. This metabolism may lead to decreased effectiveness of deramciclane in treating anxiety disorders because it does not stay in the body for long periods of time.
