JAK2 Inhibitor V, Z3 is a small molecule that inhibits the JAK2 kinase enzyme. The hydroxy group of this compound binds to the copper complex. The reaction mechanism involves the binding to the ATP-binding site and the phosphorylation of tyrosine residues on helix VII of the kinase domain. The fluorescence spectrum indicates that this inhibitor has high affinity for influenza virus and is also an HDAC inhibitor. This drug blocks receptor binding, which may be due to its ability to inhibit dopamine-mediated signaling pathways by inhibiting cholesterol acyltransferase activity. JAK2 Inhibitor V, Z3 has been shown to be effective in animal models against cancer and may also have potential for treating coagulation factors in humans.
