Descrizione:7-Ethynylcoumarin is a synthetic compound that inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the bifunctional enzyme P450. This enzyme is involved in the metabolism of many drugs, including anticancer agents and antidepressants. 7-Ethynylcoumarin has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis, as well as bind to and inhibit P450 enzymes. It has been used in diagnostic tests for bacterial strains. 7-Ethynylcoumarin also has prognostic value in prostate cancer and melanoma.
