Descrizione:2-tert-Butyl-1,4-dimethoxy-benzene (BPDMB) is a chemical that belongs to the group of endpoints. It has been shown to have bioactivities in the intestines, muscles, and lungs. BPDMB has been shown to cause contractility of isolated intestinal muscle cells in a dose dependent manner. It also inhibits acetylcholine release from incubated rat ileum. BPDMB is an important component for pest control because it can be used as a synergist with ammonium nitrate or hydroxyanisole to increase their toxicity. It is also used as a feeding deterrent by mixing it with foodstuffs such as corn and wheat bran.
