Tetrachlorvinphos has been shown to cause DNA strand breaks, chromosomal aberrations, sister chromatid exchange, DNA adducts, and mutations in the liver, stomach, small intestine, lung and kidney cells of mice. These studies indicate that tetrachlorvinphos is genotoxic and carcinogenic.
