• Descrizione: Zinviroxime is a potent and selective inhibitor of the ion channel TRPV1. It blocks the activity of this receptor and prevents the release of inflammatory mediators such as calcitonin gene-related peptide, substance P, and bradykinin. Zinviroxime has been shown to inhibit the binding of these mediators to their receptors on cells in culture. This inhibition causes pain relief in animal models. Zinviroxime also inhibits the activation of TRPV1 by capsaicin, an activator of TRPV1. The molecular weight for zinviroxime is 836 Daltons and its CAS number is 72301-78-1.
