Hexazinone metabolite E is a natural, antibiotic and antiviral agent that inhibits the growth of microorganisms. It is also used in chemotherapy to treat life-threatening infections caused by bacteria and fungi. Hexazinone metabolite E has been shown to be effective against microorganisms such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis, Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus. This chemical compound has been shown to have antiviral activity against Influenza A virus. Hexazinone metabolite E is used in medicine for the treatment of microbial infections caused by bacteria and viruses.
