Descrizione

5-Hydroxy-7,8,2'-trimethoxyflavone is a flavonoid that has been shown to have antimicrobial properties. It is an active ingredient in Oroxylum indicum root powder, which is used by some herbalists to treat bowel disease and other conditions. 5-Hydroxy-7,8,2'-trimethoxyflavone has been shown to inhibit the growth of resistant microorganisms such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. This compound also has anticancer activity against human colon cancer cells. The biological properties and chemical structures of 5-Hydroxy-7,8,2'-trimethoxyflavone have not yet been fully elucidated.
