NVP-BEP800 is a potent antitumor agent that was designed to inhibit the ATPase activity of Hsp90. It has been shown to have potent antitumor activity in preclinical animal models and is currently being studied as a potential treatment for solid tumors. NVP-BEP800 has been shown to be effective in both primary cells and tumor models, and it has been demonstrated that this drug inhibits tumor growth in hypoxic regions of tumors. A pharmacokinetic study revealed that NVP-BEP800 exhibits slow absorption with an elimination half life of 20 hours following intravenous administration. The drug also shows high protein binding, which may account for its long elimination half life.
