AST-1306 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and blocks its activation. It has been shown to be effective in inhibiting cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, with minimal toxicity. AST-1306 is metabolized by proteases and peptidases, which leads to a short half-life of about 10 minutes. This drug also exhibits pharmacokinetic properties such as high affinity for plasma proteins and moderate distribution into tissues. In addition, it has been shown that AST-1306 may have clinical relevance for metabolic disorders as well as polymerase chain reaction (PCR) experiments.
