Loline alkaloid is a group of alkaloids that are produced by endophytic fungi. Loline alkaloids have been shown to be insect-resistant and have a novel mode of action, which is not shared by any other known insecticide. Loline is a naturally occurring alkaloid that can be isolated from wild-type strains.
