Guanabenz also inhibits the development of cardiac hypertrophy by inhibiting chemical diversity in chronic kidney disease. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties, so it can be used for treating autoimmune diseases. The mechanism of action is not well understood, but it is believed that ganabenz acts on the cytosolic side of cells where it modulates immune responses.
