Neogrifolin is a natural product that is the primary metabolite of grifolin. It has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. Neogrifolin is a secondary metabolite that can be isolated from plants, including species of the genus Grifola. It can be used as an analytical reference material for HPLC standards and as a quality control agent for screening and quality control applications.
