IKK inhibitor VII has also been shown to block the activation of NF-κB in activated human T cells. The inhibition of NF-κB by IKK inhibitor VII leads to decreased levels of proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines such as IL-8, MCP-1, MIP-1β, IP10 and RANTES. This compound is a potent activator of PPARγ that induces apoptosis in various cancer cell lines.
