CAS:Risedronic acid monohydrate is a bisphosphonate that inhibits bone resorption by inhibiting the activity of osteoclasts. It is used to treat postmenopausal women with osteoporosis and bowel disease, as well as to prevent bone loss in men with prostate cancer. Risedronic acid monohydrate has been shown to be more effective than alendronate for decreasing bone mineral density in women with breast cancer who have undergone chemotherapy. Risedronic acid monohydrate binds to the active site of the enzyme polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and blocks DNA synthesis, preventing the formation of new cells. Risedronic acid monerate also binds to the active site of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), thereby blocking their ability to inhibit cyclooxygenase enzymes, which are responsible for prostaglandin synthesis. This leads to reduced inflammation and pain.Formula:C7H11NO7P2·H2OPurezza:Min. 95%Colore e forma:White PowderPeso molecolare:301.13 g/mol
